Wind Turbine Technician
Wind turbine technicians inspect and repair wind turbine towers to ensure the turbines function and maintain their physical integrity. Wind turbine technicians may also test various components, including electrical systems. These technicians often perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent or minimize concerns about safety and function.
A Day in the Job
A wind turbine technician will work to maintain and install wind turbines. When someone reports a wind turbine being broken, a wind turbine technician will climb approximately 200 to 400 feet and repair the broken part. They will also provide routine diagnostics and inspections on wind turbines to ensure they're working properly. Wind turbine technicians are also responsible for replacing any broken parts of a wind turbine.
